Autumn Series Regatta 1 Results
The first regatta of the 2007 Autumn Series was held at a particularly favourable new location - the Grand Excelsior Hotel in Valletta. This regatta was staged as one of the attractions of the Valletta Boat Show which was held throughout the weekend. Consequently the races attracted a good deal of interest from members of the public who attended the Boat Show.
This new location will be the venue for the 2007 Nationals in December.
During the morning we were very pleased to welcome Eddy Kincaid from Falmouth Model Boat Club, who was able to take some time out from his vacation in Malta to come watch the races with us - it is always so good to meet with skippers from other countries. It was good to meet with you Eddy and we wish you many happy hours sailing.
It was a particularly warm and sunny morning for late September, with variable breeze that provided some very interesting racing. Matthew (boat no 38) was on his usual good form, whilst Albert (boat no 11) was giving his new boat its first outing.
Matthew (boat no 38) took first position of the day, whilst Alan (boat no 07) and Christian (boat no 21) came second and third.
