Autumn Series Regatta 2 Results
The second regatta of the 2007 Autumn Series was held at a new location - Birgu, set in part of the oldest towns in Malta - a location that on a sunny day would have been absolutely gorgeous.
However the Satuday afternoon when five of our skippers arrived to take part, was far from warm and sunny. Thunderstorms prevailed throughout the afternoon accompanied by heavy rain and strong winds resulting in very fluky sailing conditions.
Racing was abandoned, following the completion of the 8th race, due to failing light.
Albert (boat no 11) took first position of the day, whilst Christian (boat no 21) came second with Vinnie (boat no 30) took third place. Matthew (boat no 38) encountered problems with his boat at the start of the first race.
