Spring Series Regatta 6 Results

The sixth and final Regatta of the 2007 Spring Series was held at Mellieha Bay when 5 skippers met to compete on Saturday 16th June. The afternoons sailing was followed by a Presentation BBQ.

Warm weather and a short course provided good sailing conditions, especially for our newcomer Sandro (boat no 42) who took third place of the day - Matthew (boat no 38) romped home to a commanding first place with Albert (boat no 11) a good second.

Our President, Robert excelled as chef for the evening, cooking all of the deliciously prepared food that he had also most generously provided. Albert occupied the most important position - of Chief Fanner to the BBQ - providing the most necessary breeze!! A very convivial evening was enjoyed by all. Our many thanks to Robert for his generosity and his efforts in organising such an enjoyable event.

Trophies and prizes were presented by the sponsors, Robert Deleonardo for the Spring Series President's Cup. and Valerie Zammit for the Winter Series Secretary's Shield.

Well done to Matthew who took both trophies having performed consistantly well throughout both of the series.

Prizes were awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions of both series - Winter Series: Matthew, Vinnie & Albert - Spring Series: Matthew, Albert & Alan, and to Sandro (boat no 42) as first position in the 'B' fleet boats.
